Axordia is one of the UK’s leading human embryonic stem cell (HESC) companies. Based in Sheffield and with strong links to the University of Sheffield, the UK’s principal university in the generation of stem cell related IP, Axordia is developing two novel stem cell therapies and commercialising GMP-derived human embryonic stem cell lines.

  • Dry AMD A stem cell therapy to treat this currently untreatable disease is being developed in conjunction with UCL and Moorfields eye hospital.
  • Next generation stents are being developed to reduce the incidence of stem restonsis after stent implantation.
  • GMP-compliant HESC lines are being derived under GMP protocols.
