HESC (Human Embryonic Stem Cells)
Axordia is one of only a few companies in the world that derives its own HESC lines.
Currently Axordia owns a number of proprietary research level HESC lines that are were among the first to have been accepted by the UK Stem Cell Bank in compliance with HFEA regulations. These are currently available for licence.
In January 2006 a GMP derivation facility was opened in Sheffield and Axordia is now beginning a programme to derive GMP grade cell lines that will be suitable for use in clinical trials
